This Data Retention and Deletion Policy outlines the guidelines for retaining and deleting user data collected through Nook (“the App”). It aims to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, protect user privacy, and manage data storage efficiently.

This policy applies to all user data collected, processed, and stored by the App, including but not limited to personal information, usage data, and communications.
3. Data Retention
• Retention Periods: User data will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws and regulations. Specific retention periods are as follows:
• Personal Information (e.g., name, email address): Retained for the duration of the user’s account being active and for up to one year after account deactivation to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
• Usage Data (e.g., app activity logs): Retained for six months to analyze and improve app performance and user experience.
• Communications (e.g., customer support inquiries): Retained for one year to assist in future inquiries and for training purposes.
• Legal Compliance: Certain data may be retained for longer periods if required by law or if necessary to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
4. Data Deletion
• User-Initiated Deletion: Users may request the deletion of their personal data by contacting our support team at support@nook.com or using the in-app deletion feature. Upon verification of the request, we will delete the requested data within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
• Automatic Deletion: Data that has reached the end of its retention period will be automatically deleted or anonymized, unless retention is required by law.
• Backup Copies: Deleted data may persist in backup copies for up to 90 days but will not be accessible as part of normal operations.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect user data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
